Our Energy Benchmark solution was designed specifically to help you achieve this – quickly and easily. This intelligent tool captures all of your plant and component-specific KPIs. Our Energy Benchmark references include an ASU project where we complemented our energy benchmark check with a detailed asset health check, revealing modification recommendations to avoid nitrogen vaporization. These modifications reduced the energy consumption of LIN production by two thirds.

Your Energy Benchmark report
With just a few clicks, we convert your raw plant data (such as specific energy consumption, pressure flow and temperature) into a high-level KPI report. This report covers the following components and performance information:
We benchmark all data against reference values gained from our engineering expertise and the operational experience gained by Linde Gas. In addition, we perform historical trend analysis to chart developments over time. With that, you can easily quantify improvement potential – also in monetary terms – for your plant overall and identify the components to focus on.
Once the analysis is complete and the potential has been identified, you can move on to a full asset health check, where we will examine all components in detail (including main heat exchanger, further compressors, and turbines) and deepen our analysis even down to specific tag level. By this, we will not only help you to understand your potential, but also identify specific action to turn it into money.

Data requirements & data security
We understand that plant and operational data are highly sensitive. Therefore, we have designed our tool to deliver the utmost data security:
• You can extract data yourself from your DCS or Historian system and send it to us – we do not need online connection to your system
• All data will be stored only for the analysis and within Linde's safeguarded data centers
• The analysis tool runs offline to no data is shared over the cloud or a dashboard service; calculated KPIs are only stored while the analysis is being executed
To run an Energy Benchmark, we need the following multi-year data (e.g. raw data export from DCS) from you: Molecular sieve data (for a full minute basis due to several cycles per day), and basic data relating to the MAC/BAC, turbine/booster, main HEX, and direct air cooler.
