Emergency thermal oxidizer repair

The challenge: A 30-year-old thermal oxidizer critical to a section of a petrochemical plant’s operation in hazardous waste destruction experienced a burner component failure, which resulted in a partial plant outage.

Petrochemical plant environmental compliance

The challenge: As required by its environmental permit, the plant must maintain a minimum threshold of 99.99% destruction efficiency of emissions from their industrial processes. A slight degradation in destruction efficiency performance of the plant's thermal oxidation system was noted, putting it at risk of falling below the threshold and subjecting the plant to regulatory fines.
